Welcome.....

"The true trophy hunter is a self-disciplined perfectionist seeking a single animal, the ancient patriarch well past his prime that is often an outcast from his own kind... If successful, he will enshrine the trophy in a place of honour. This is a more noble and fitting end than dying on some lost and lonely ledge where the scavengers will pick his bones, and his magnificent horns will weather away and be lost forever."

Elgin Gates, Trophy Hunter

Since ancient Greek and Roman times Africa captivated the true adventurer, hunter, explorer and traveller. Africa's astonishing variety in wildlife and flora, its vibrant, spell bounding cultures and legends of immense treasures drew people from all over. In reality not much has changed, modern day Africa still holds its allure and beckons the true at heart sportsman.

Due to South Africa’s excellent and successful track record in modern day conservation and preservation of wildlife we have a healthy and ever increasing wildlife population. Unfortunately due to man’s encroachment, land was historically cut up and fenced off, creating pockets of wildlife in which their numbers can not grow indefinitely and unchecked. The end result is an increase beyond the environments carrying capacity, ultimately destroying wild animals itself.

It is here where ethical, well-managed recreational hunting plays a huge role in legitimate utilization of our natural resources. We do not condone hunting for the sole, exclusive and only sake of trophy hunting. Although it has its rightful place in the greater circle of modern day hunting it in effect is very, very limited. We believe that hunting is a tool to be used in an ethical, well-managed plan of conservation to maintain, preserve and ensure continuous bio-diversity resulting in a healthy environment.

Nowhere else is there more variety for the hunter of today. Please, come and experience it, we'll guide you, every step of the way. We can offer you all manor of game from antelope, predators and dangerous game, to birds and fishing.

Rifle and Bow Hunting

Hunting Plains Game - Antelope

We offer a range of 27 indigenous antelope species, from the diminutive little Duiker, up to Africa’s biggest antelope, the Eland. Most species are available to both rifle as well as bow hunters. Our hunts are fun filled, challenging adventures offered in a variety of different areas of natural beauty free of human population pressure.

Hunting Plains Game Non–Antelope

Apart from antelope, there are other species available for hunting such as Baboon, Warthog, Jackal Wildebeest and Zebra.

Game Bird Hunting

South Africa offers a large number of species for the avid shotgun shooter. Game bird shooting can make for a unique combination when added to either plains game or a dangerous game hunt. There is a healthy variety of natural occurring game bird species available and it is important to take note of the fact that no pen reared or artificially raised birds are offered. The core emphasis of our shoots is variety, rather than quantity. Apart from Pigeons and doves, all game birds carry a legally prescribed daily bag limit.

Waterfowl

The two main geese species available are the Spurwing , which is quite a large bird, up to 9 kilograms (22 pounds) and the Egyptian geese.

Ducks consist of the Yellow Bill duck which is very similar to the northern hemispheres mallard and the little Red Bill teal long with White faced Duck.

Upland Terrestrial Birds

The biggest in size and number and the most widespread, is the Helmeted Guinea fowl which offer very exciting and challenging shoots.

Francolin species consist of the Swainson’s spurfowl, Greywing and Orange River.

Common African quail which is an inter-African migrant offers a “chance encounter” which always delivers a interesting “bonus”, as they are not frequently encountered.

Doves and Pigeons

Four species are hunted regularly, Rock pigeon, Red-eye Dove, Cape turtle dove and the small Laughing or Palm dove.

Sand Grouse

This is a specialist specie, indigenous to the arid central and western parts of South Africa, Namibia and Botswana in general. The Namaqua- and Burchells sandgrouse are the main species targeted.

  Fishing

Freshwater Fishing

Fresh water fishing is fishing in lakes, rivers and streams that have minute quantities of dissolved salts. Freshwater sources are precipitation or melting ice and snow. There are hundreds of fresh water fish species, but the most popular are bass, catfish, pickerel, pike sunfish, trout, salmon, muskellunge, sturgeon and walleye. We offer some of the finest freshwater fishing in South Africa and our venues are beautiful with our fish are wild and big.

Fly-fishing South Africa

It’s an activity that is as mesmerizing to watch, as it is to partake in. Whilst its predominantly enjoyed by the older generation, fly fishing is fast catching the attention and interests of a whole new generation of enthusiasts. The incredible art of fly fishing was initially developed as an angling method to catch salmon and trout. In modern times however, the method has been adapted to include pike, carp and bass amongst others.

Game Fishing.

Obviously we are inland and far from coastal waters but there are still a variety of fishing opportunities from reef fish like red roman and cob to game fish like yellowfin tuna, marlin, yellowtail and shark. Just tell us your preference and we can arrange to take you on the trip of a lifetime.
